This will be my second year as a guest teacher/ lecturer on herbal medicine and wildcrafting for the Permaculture Design Certificate program at Antioch University this summer.

August 23-24th 3rd Annual Whatcom Skills Share Fair

Our second year teaching at this wonderful fair. This year I will be demonstrating herbal distillation of essential oils and aromatic hydrosols.
Will be teaching an herbal oils and salve making class as well. This will be the second year teaching at this wonderful venue held in Ferndale WA.

Saturday August 30th from 10am-7pm LARC Gallery Lost Arts Fair at LARC Gallery in Sequim inside the gallery will be many demonstrations like: wood carvers, spinners, fly tiers, carding, felting, Victorian paper folding, distilling for essential oils, hydrosols, and more.. Held both indoors and in the parking lot in tents.

I am a co -creator of this fair and there will be fantastic demos by talented amazing lost art artists. I will be demonstrating distillation with my copper stills and herbal medicine making.

September 12th
Antioch University Seattle
I will be guest lecturer/teacher for the Permaculture Design Certification Program.
Will be doing essential oils/hydrosols distillation demos and hands on herbal medicine making with the students at a small permaculture residence/farm on Bainbridge Island.

October 17-19
Medicine making and Wildcraft Weekend Intensive Green Lynx Farm Sequim My students from Antioch University Permaculture class are coming for an intensive weekend of herbal wildcrafting and medicine making.

Nov 6-8
Wildcraft Weekend Intensive Herbventure in Eastern WA My Antioch permaculture herb students are joining me to sit with, learn from and harvest Osha root – one of my favorite medicine plants that grows above 5,000ft elevation on the eastern side of the Cascade range.

This is an in-depth hands on study covering many facets of wise woman, western and native american herbal traditions.

Meets twice monthly 2 Sundays a month all day.

Facilitated by the spiritual practice called Ecstatic Wisdom Postures we will explore what it means to be guided by the wisdom of our animal allies, goose, wolf and horse.

We will expand our intuitive skills, experience hands-on creative expression, deepen our trust in source, creating sacred ritual to dedicate ourselves to our bone deep truths.

Sequim herbalist Victoria Reddick will give a demonstration on Distilling with copper alembic stills. We will distill Devilsclub root and bark our native northwest ginseng for aromatic medicinal hydrosols

Saturday May 7th “Herbventure” Shamanic Herbalist Program Class 1 of 16. This is the first Saturday class of a series that meets 2 Saturdays a month May-December 2011. 10am-3pm

Herbal Learning Wednesdays Starting May 4rth I will be offering a 1-2 hour class each Wednesday starting at 5pm. Hands on herbal medicine making practicum. Our first class will be: “Spring Tonics” for nourishment and greater health. Each class cost $15.00

Ongoing Monthly Wildflowers and Plant walk – Come join Sequim herbalist/naturalist Victoria Reddick for a hike in the woods to learn about wildflowers and plants of our area, herbal lore, sympathetic magic and stories. Herbal uses today and ethnobotanical uses by first nations people. We will meet up at different locations around the Olympic Peninsula.

Saturday May 21st Cob Oven Building Workshop Come learn about the history of one of the oldest green building techniques on earth. Hands on experiential learning as we build a cob oven here at Green Lynx Farm in Sequim. You will learn the skills to take home with you and to build your own oven. Come have some fun and get dirty with us. Cost is free.

Saturday May 28th Cob Oven Part 2 We had a great fun gathering of 11 people last weekend including a wonderful musician that played music while we cobbed and our oven is almost done, now we need to build the sides up from the ground and add the artistic finishes, it may become a dragon or bird or…

Cob Oven part 3 coming soon -Our beautiful oven is complete except for the fun creative art part and the addition of straw bale seats and a roof. Come join us co-create the oven into the form of an animal or other interesting shape. We will have pizza cooked in our wood fired oven. Date TBA.

11th Northwest Herbal Fair August 19th-21st Come out to the fair at the fire Mountain Scout Camp in Mount Vernon WA. Meet wonderful herbalists from around the PNW and well-known herbalists around the country for great herbal classes, awesome herbal community, great music, and family friendly fun.

Wednesday August 23-Sunday the28th. Green Lynx Farm is booked for a very special masked trance dance event hosted by amazing teacher and wise woman Deborah Jane Milton PhD. This body of work is based on the Ecstatic Body Postures research, work, and books of Dr Felicitas Goodman and the Cuyamungue Institute of which Deborah is a certified teacher. More Info soon.

Green Lynx Farm Canning party in September We are harvesting our orchard to make chutney, sauces, jams and other scruptous fare.
